Growing up, I knew parks. The Smoky Mountains were nearby and we spent a lot of time outdoors. But there was limited exploration and these parks weren’t necessarily a travel destination.

This was taken on our last snowy hike through Sequoia National Park. In the Giant Forest, just past where the Congress Trail and the Alta Trail intersect, is The House. Some other hikers passed just in time to help me capture the magnitude of these amazing trees.
